From an early age, Sergio Castro has had an interest in music and cinema.


He studied Electronic Music Production at the Art Institute of Vancouver, in Canada (2007-2008) and Music Production and Audio Engineering at Academia de Música Fermatta in Guadalajara, México (2009-2011).


Later on, he moved to Mexico City to continue with his studies, but now focused on cinema. He studied the Post Production program at SAE Institute (2015-2016), Applied Synthesis and Sound Design at SAE Institute (2020), Still Photography at Centro ADM (2015), courses in documentary filmmaking and fiction at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (2015), and recently he took a masterclass in Cinematography with members of the AMC (Mexican Society of Cinematographers) (2020).


He specialized in Film Editing, where he found the connection between the visual and musical language.


Since his arrival to Mexico City, he has worked in documentaries: Deportees Welcome (Aljazeera), Misterios del Inframundo (NatGeo) and on television series: Sitiados México (FOX), Run Coyote Run (FOX) and ¿Qué pasó con Sara? (Netflix), which he is currently working on. In 2019, he edited his first Full Length Documentary, called La Recua, which is currently in Post Production.
