Carlos Silva Vallejo has been editing since his childhood years, from stop motion to fiction short films. He completed his education on Centro de Diseño, Cine y TV in 2009 and since has been working as a professional editor.
His curriculum is mostly based on scripted television, working with companies like HBO, Netflix, Amazon and Amblin. He has proven to be a versatile editor with a fine sense in premium storytelling.
“Sr. Avila”, an HBO series, won an International Emmy award for season 3, where Carlos worked both as assistant editor and editor.
Recently, he has worked with new Mexican directors in movies like “Ok, it’s fine” which was selected at Cannes’ Marche du film and Mexico’s Guadalajara Film Festival and the upcoming drama “Life in Silence”, premiering in 2021.
